Creative Commons: Picture Acquisition (Print this page first)

Complete this portion if you are in need of pictures.

  1. Double click on the computer icon in the top left corner of your desktop screen.
  2. Double click on (B:) Local Disk drive.
  3. Select - File - New - Folder
  4. Name the folder trading card pictures by simply typing. Click on the outside of the text box when complete.
  5. Close the window by selecting the red X on the screen.
  6. Click on the Creative Commons link here.
  7. Using the mouse, click inside the search field box and type in the image you are looking for. Press search.
  8. Once you've found an image that you like, simply click on it.
  9. Click on the all sizes text just above the picture.
  10. Click on the word small from the available sizes portion of the page.
  11. Click on the Download the Small size link
  12. Select Save
  13. Click once on the computer icon from the left portion of the window.
  14. Double click on the (B:) local disk
  15. Double click on the trading cards pictures folder create in steps 3 & 4
  16. Rename your file according the image in the file name field. Example: Engine
  17. Select Save from the right portion of the window screen
  18. Select Close in the download complete window
  19. Press the Back button on the web browser 4 times to return to the search field screen
  20. Repeat steps 7 - 19 until you have all of the pictures you wish to use with your trading cards.


Trading Card Creator:

  1. Double click on the computer icon in the top left corner of your desktop screen.
  2. Double click on (B:) Local Disk drive.
  3. Select - File - New - Folder
  4. Name the folder trading cards by simply typing. Click on the outside of the text box when complete.
  5. Close the window by selecting the red X on the screen.
  6. Click on the Flickr Toys link here.
  7. Click on the Browse button.
  8. Click once on the computer icon in the left portion of your screen.
  9. Double click on the (B:) local disk
  10. Double click on the trading cards folder
  11. Double click on the first picture that you would like to use.
  12. Optional: You may choose crop features or color features if you wish.
  13. Enter a Title, Sub-title, and Description for your card.
  14. Optional: You may insert up to 7 icons on each card if you are truly making a trading card game.
  15. Select Create
  16. Scroll down the page so that you may click on the Save button.
  17. Click on Save
  18. Double click on the (B:) local disk
  19. Double click on the trading cards pictures folder
  20. Name the file the same as you did before but be sure to add trading card to the end. Example: Engine trading card
  21. Select - Save
  22. Select - Close
  23. Press back 1 time
  24. Repeat steps 7 - 23 until you have made a trading card for all of the pictures you downloaded.


Printing:

  1. If any applications are open, please close them now.
  2. Double click on the computer icon in the top left corner of your desktop screen.
  3. Double click on (B:) Local Disk drive.
  4. Double click on the trading cards folder
  5. Double click on any of the trading cards in that folder
  6. Single click on the printer icon located below the trading card image.
  7. Select Next
  8. Click on Select All
  9. Select Next
  10. Choose the color printer
  11. Select Next
  12. Scroll down and select the 3.5 X 5 in. Prints
  13. Optional: If you want multiple copies be sure to select the number of copies you wish to have below the available layouts box.
  14. Select Next
  15. Select Finish
